THERAPY CENTER

Apyre offers to the children or teenager and his family all the therapies and intervention needed according to each case. There is regular communication with the therapeutic team responsible of the case, which helps obtain the maximum benefit and achievement for each child. We offer one to one and/or group therapies, screenings, orientation and diagnostic services in the following areas:

The learning therapy offers strategies, develops and enhances learning abilities, and aims to achieve a school performance benchmark according to the child’s age and school level.

• This therapy provides tools and equipment that can be used to enhance, maintain or improve the child´s abilities including learning, communication and language.
• It is suggested and used for children who require an alternative communication system.
• The Alternative Communication System helps develop and enhance the language and/ or communicative abilities.

• The speech and language therapy helps acquire language abilities and repair language disorders such as delays in the acquisition of communication skills, language comprehension disorders, stuttering and speech disorders, among others.
• Helps develop/restore communication and language skills.

• Helps children and teenagers change and modify thoughts, feelings and/or behaviors. The therapist works on modifying behaviors and thoughts that create discomfort or emotional distress.
• The therapy helps the child have a better understanding of himself, and therefore entails inner transformation. The psychologist acts as a guide or modulator leading the child or teenager to emotional stability.

Helps the child or teenager with behavioral issues. A specialized therapist advises parents on how to regulate behavioral challenges and at the same time, they work with the children on developing the skills to obtain a better behavior. Additionally, the therapy helps develop assertive social skills.

Stimulates and encourages the children´s physical and emotional development, while enhances awareness and the cognitive abilities.

• Physical Therapy prevents and repairs disorders that entail dysfunctional or inadequate movement patterns.
• Occupational Therapy aims to provide skills for the children to be integrated and adapted in a social and physical environment.

• Sensory Integration Therapy develops and modulates the organization and understanding of the sensations of the body and the environment.
• It is suggested for children who have a sensory overresponsive or a lack of responsiveness and alert of sensory information.

The evaluation consists on the application of standardized tests; the results includes scores and information of the child’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as learning styles and abilities. This information facilitates the elaboration of an intervention plan.

Specialized School

The school offers rehabilitation and therapeutic intervention for children and young adults with severe physical, cognitive, communication and/or socio-emotional handicaps. We design a personalized program that is complemented with activities such as music, plastic arts, psychomotor and the Montessori based activities. It is an excellent option for children with limited access to regular schooling.

• Facilitate the child´s mobility
• Sensory stimulation
• Cognitive and language stimulation
• Elaboration of an alternative and augmentative communication system according to each child’s capabilities and needs
• Promotes social skills

This group has the following aims:
• Sensory and oromotor stimulation
• Behavioral intervention
• Develops cognitive skills
• Promotes verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Enhances gross and fine motor skills
• Elaboration of an alternative and augmentative communication systems according to each child´s capabilities and needs
• Promotes social skills

This group has the following aims:
• Develops cognitive skills as well as visual and hearing perception abilities
• Enhances communication and language skills in some cases with the help of technological equipment
• Develops gross and fine motor skills and abilities as well as postural control
• Initiates and/or consolidates reading, writing and math processes
• Helps children achieve autonomy on everyday situations
•Develop social skills

C.A.N.T.A.

(Care Center for Children within Autistic Disorders)

This program attends children who are in the autism specter disorder and who´s families are financially vulnerable; the program empowers the caregiver providing knowledge and tools to be able to provide the children an enriching environment that will lead to progress in all areas.

• Difficulty on establishing social relationships
•Communication and cognition deficits (severe symptoms)
• Inflexible way of thinking
• Stereotyped and repetitive playing patterns that leads to limited interests
The program works with a group of specialists in different areas who work with the child and family all together, in the same place, twice a week during the morning.
